I’m an apparel design student at Baylor University with a love for thoughtful design, hands-on making, and learning through new experiences.
My work is especially drawn to the intersection of craftsmanship, sustainability, and technical design. Whether I’m experimenting with zero-waste patternmaking, learning a traditional textile technique, or figuring out how a garment can be constructed more intentionally, I’m interested in understanding not only what makes a design beautiful, but how and why it works.
Outside of the studio, I’m constantly finding inspiration through travel, community, service, and the projects I take on simply because I’m curious enough to try them.
Activities
My time at Baylor has been shaped by the communities and traditions I’ve had the opportunity to be part of. Through Chi Omega, Theta Kappa Chapter, I have participated in Pigskin, intramural sports, Homecoming, and other experiences that have encouraged me to meet new people, take on new challenges, and become more involved on campus.
Currently, I serve as Executive Float Chair, where I combine creativity and leadership to oversee the design, planning, and construction of our 2026 Homecoming float. The role has challenged me to think beyond design itself by learning how to lead a team, manage a large-scale creative project, solve unexpected problems, and turn an idea into something built collaboratively.
Travel has become an important part of how I learn, find inspiration, and connect with others. I have had the opportunity to travel to more than ten countries through personal travel, study, service, and international experiences. Each place has introduced me to new perspectives, traditions, and ways of creating that continue to influence how I see both design and the world around me.
More than simply visiting new places, I value opportunities to learn directly from the people and cultures around me. From experiencing traditional textile practices to building relationships within local communities, these experiences have strengthened my curiosity and my desire to continue learning and working internationally.

Creative Practice, Craft & Sustainability
Creativity extends far beyond my academic work and is a constant part of my everyday life. I love experimenting with different forms of making, from sewing, embroidery, and cross-stitch to collage, and upcycling. Whether I am learning a new technique or simply creating for fun, working with my hands gives me the freedom to experiment and explore ideas without the limitations of an assignment.
Sustainability also plays an important role in the way I create. I am especially drawn to finding new possibilities in existing materials, whether through upcycling, reducing waste, or simply being more intentional about what I use. These personal projects give me space to explore, make mistakes, and continually develop my perspective as a designer.
Serving others and building meaningful relationships have become important parts of my life outside of design. Currently, I volunteer as a small group leader with K-Life Youth Ministries, where I meet weekly with a group of high school students. My goal is to create a space where they feel known, supported, and encouraged while developing genuine relationships with them.
Beyond our weekly meetings, I stay involved by attending school activities, athletic events, and K-Life gatherings. This experience continues to teach me the importance of consistency, empathy, and simply showing up for the people around me.
